JBL Control Monitor Review: JBL Control Monitor High Performance Bookshelf Loudspeaker with Wall-Mount Brackets (Black). Going on 2 years with these speakers and absolutely love them. Used mostly for TV and CD listening with NO sub woofer or surround (2 ears - 2 speakers). They're not going to shake the living room but I'm impressed with the bass output for these small speakers. Experimented with speaker placement and found that on top of the TV armoire gave the nicest bass. They were a bit boomy in the corners of the room but I'll take nice bass over separation.
